Mr. Sunshine 1.02 "Employee of the Year'

Why there was such a big drop off from last week in the ratings, I don't know, but this episode, featuring Jonas Brother was pretty damn funny, incl. said Jonas Brother as a spoiled little turd-of-a-thing pop-star.

The opening scene with Perry (Ben) and the Mascot was clever and the rest of the episode was consistent with last week's pilot with Ben still a bit selfish but showing some growth and Crystal (Alison Janney) still of her face on smack or something.

The episode revolves around Ben and the fact that it's his 10th Anniversary of working at the Sunshine Center. He wants a bit of recognition but no-one seems to give two-shits as they try to impress Crystal in her fake contest to see who is the most valuable employee. Ben believes it's him, Alonzo arrogantly recuse's himself to begin with and Alice fucks with Alonzo's attempts at winning the contest. It's all to no avail though as the winner has already been decided. Watch and find out...

I believe the people who tuned in last week and fucked off this week should give Mr. Sunshine another chance because it really deserves to be around for a while. At the moment it still has more viewers that Cougar Town so it should make it as Cougar Town has been renewed for Season 3. Cougar Town also rocks by the way but I've wanted to see Matthew back in a show with legs because I was looking forward to The End of Steve but Showtime passed on it, the dicks, and this seems like Mr. Sunshine will even if the viewers leave before they come back.

Any show with a theme song that makes you laugh should be around for a while.
