Archer: Piss Funny

This cartoon is fuckin' funny. It's probably my favourite show at the moment. It stars H. Jon Benjamin voicing Sterling Archer, the sex mad, alcoholic, unhealthily attached to his mother, spy. The most dangerous spy in the lands. Aisha Tyler voices Lana Kane, the sexy agent with whom Archer used to date. Chris Parnell plays Cyril Figgis, Judy Greer plays Cheryl or Carol or whatever the fuck she goes by that week. The old duck from Arrested Development plays Malory Archer, Sterling's mother and Amber Nash plays Pam Poovey, who can't keep her fat mouth shut.

Not one character in this is not fucked in the head, and that's why I love them. They are a bunch of narcissistic  and selfish arseholes, to one another and in general. They do generally come through for each other when it comes down to it but it doesn't really matter what happens, it's great when they screw with each other.

Not really sure what happened here but Pam (braids) probably wants a cock up her.

It covers a range of topics and different situations in its first 2 seasons, with a third to start airing later in the year, from abortion to breast cancer in men. Believe it or not, it's all funny. It helps that it's a cartoon too I guess. You don't feel the same kind of sympathy for them as you know that they'll get through whatever it is relatively unscathed.

Subplots include Lana and Cyril trying to maintain a relationship, Archer trying to find his father, Pam wanting someone, anyone to have sex with, Carol (?) being into a bit of choking during sex, Cyril being a sex addict, Archer being a father to a hooker's baby and getting it tattooed and many other unPC plots. I dare you not to laugh, and if you don't laugh, remove the stick and stop being such a cunt.

This is the type of sexy in the show.

I'll admit, not everybody will like this type of humour. And the people who don't probably look up to Dane Cook as a comedy legend. Which obviously, is absurd.

With 16 more episodes coming in season 3, I can't wait to see what type of bullshit Archer pulls. I spose I'll have to be happy with the 23 episodes that have aired which is not a bad thing. Its going to air alongside It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's seventh season and that will make an awesome comedy block for FX which is a lot better than it's parent channel.

Apparently, they styled the look of the show after Mad Men. That's pretty cool.

He is a prick and he doesn't care.
